Springtime on the Road

We hope that you are experiencing the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the goodness of our Heavenly Father and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  We need to be watchful to never lose sight of His faithfulness and the certainty of the promises we have been given in scripture.  (Philippians 1:6). 
 
This brief update proceeds some soon-coming mission travel.  Most of you probably know by now that in early March Leon was having serious effects in his ongoing battle with cancer.  This required nine days in the hospital, some strong medication and most importantly a tremendous intercessory prayer response.  Within a couple of weeks after discharge, his condition improved miraculously! There is no doubt that our Heavenly Father answered prayer!  Leon has been feeling better and getting stronger as he continues in both natural and allopathic treatment and his lab reports improve amazingly and have even shocked his doctors!  Please join with us in our thanksgiving for His goodness!
 
This did require us to postpone our first mission trip of the year, which was scheduled in March.  However, we are blessed that, starting next week, we are going to be connecting that trip to Magdalena de Kino, Mexico with the annual conference at Puerto Penasco, Mexico!  Magdalena de Kino was our first mission assignment about 37 years ago and we loved the town and the people there.  We were there for about two years before moving to Mazatlan. Early on, we visited a couple of times after but have not been there for over 30 years!  We are so excited to see these dear brothers and sisters who have persevered and to do some teaching and encourage them in the faith.  We will be meeting Pastors Temo and Magdalena Lazaro there and sharing together.  After this time, we will go on to Puerto Penasco, and meet up with Pastor Stan and Becky Tedrow and Pastors Joe and Laurie Pacheco.  Our time there will be for the conference but also working with their growing leadership and encouraging the precious pastors of the church, Conrad and Heidi Quiros.  We count it a great  blessing and privilege to work with all of these wonderful leaders!

*Good health for us both as we travel.
*For God's blessing and anointing upon the things we teach and share.
*For God's provision for Leon to continue in natural medicine treatment after we get back.  We feel that it is having a tremendous effect and want to go on as far as our finances allow.
